Charlotte Clemensen is a Danish photographer based in Berlin, working primarily with documentary and portrait photography. Her work is driven by a deep curiosity for people, cultures, and human stories.
Having lived and traveled in countries such as Australia, Uganda, Bangladesh, and Mexico, Charlotte developed a strong interest in global perspectives and cultural exchange. This curiosity led her to pursue a Master’s degree in Global Development, always carrying her camera as a way of observing and connecting with the world around her.
Her passion for photography grew during her years abroad and later led her to study at the International Photography School in Berlin in 2022/23. In March 2023, she presented her first exhibition with the project Tangled. The same year, she participated in the group exhibition Urgent Present / Drängende Gegenwart as part of the European Month of Photography Berlin in Berlin.
For Charlotte, photography is a way of telling stories, expressing emotions, and creating connection. Through her images, she seeks to give people, places, and fleeting moments a meaningful and lasting presence.
